How to employ the most expensive small business consultant for nothing!
I know the headline sounds a little too good to be true, but in fact, this is much easier than you would imagine.
In fact not only have i been able to employ the world’s most expensive small business consultants for no pay, I have also been able to get top companies to build me websites, let me use expensive software and get others to do work I am less interested (and less talented) in.
So, how did I pull this off?
The simple answer is made up of 2 words…Joint Ventures.
Learning the art of doing joint ventures is probably one of the most important one any entrepreneur needs to learn.
It is easily the quickest way to building up a 7 figure business.
Let me ktell you some of the simple rules of doing Joint Ventures right…
- Write down what you really need (but may not necessarily be able to afford) for your business.
- Write down, what is it that you can offer to others? Everyone has a skill others need. Is it professional services? Can you help them in some way to save time?
- Discover what your potential JV partner really needs. He/she may not even know what that is at this point. Talk to them and try to decipher what is missing from their business.
Now you are probably asking, but what would a $5,000/hour consultant need from a regular small business owner?
Well, this is a question I have asked 30 times already in the past 3 months because I have been able to do just that.
The truth is, it was pretty simple.
Most times I was merely able to offer them more exposure. Even the big guys want that.
Sometimes, it was just the friendship they wanted. Online business can be a lonely place and you’d be surprised by what you are able to get done just by being yourself.
Anyway, I’d love to hear from you about who you’d love to get a joint venture with and how you might be able to go ahead and achieve it.
I will help someone who comes up with something really inventive!
To your success,

Hi Barry,
It works for sure!
Good point! You stolen my idea for linkedIn topic
I know I’m splitting hairs, but you’re not really getting anything for free. We all know that is never the case, but I can see how a JV can make you feel that you didn’t pay anything! The best deals are ones where both parties feel as if they got so much more than they paid for.
I use strategic alliances regularly, but for me, the ideal joint venture would be with a marketing/branding expert who needs a specialist to look after their online and print media.
